Ahhh, March. They say it comes in like a lion and out like a lamb... but generally I always remember it being pretty crappy weather on and off the entire month. First it will snow. Two days later it will be 70 degrees. 4 days later it will snow again. All of this, as I recall, seems to cause headaches, sniffles, and irritability. And, its the WHOLE damn month. None of this Lion and Lamb crap.
This is the time where we are completely sick of winter and ready for warmer weather and mother nature just likes to dangle it in our face and laugh like some twisted game. But, I guess I do have to be thankful for those days when it does hit 70. It's like you win the lottery and then find out that you have to pay back most of it in taxes.
So, I guess I should speak about the picture. It is no secret that I am tall and like to wear heels anyway. Sometimes I think it is just that I like to be slightly intimidating. It's kind of fun. Well, my friends from the 'hood wanted to go to Brooklyn for dinner because they had friends in town from Colombia. We went to this great place called SEA (Thai) in Williamsburg.
The place was PACKED and there were 13 of us. We arrived around 9pm. After several of the mojitos (some special kind with a funky name I can't remember- bar specialty) we finally got seated around midnight. I think this is the latest sit down dinner I have ever eaten at a nicer restaurant. This is also the reason why I look so damn tired in the picture. I was sitting next to the man in the picture and he was commenting on how I was "amazona". He wanted to get his picture taken with me to show how tall I was and he told me that I was "like the Empire State Building". He toured it earlier, so he must have had that on his mind. I wish he would have toured the Statue of Liberty instead... it would have been cool to have been "like the Statue of Liberty". I would have even held my hand up with a glass or something for the picture.
On to more important things... I had a very strange dream that night. I dreamt that I was on the train platform in the subway. It was one of those platforms that is curved and the train has to kind of serpentine in to the station. I was at the middle of the curve and the train was coming in going very slowly. I was standing on the edge of the platform and held my hand out to graze the train as it was going by. When I did this, one of the conductor windows was open and my hand got stuck. The person inside the train closed the window really hard on my hand and chopped off all my fingers. My fingers fell off into the inside of the train. When the train stopped, I had to run into the car and get my fingers so that I could take them with me to the hospital to have them sewn back on. If anyone knows what this means in dream interpretation, I would be interested to know. (PS, that is not the strangest dream I have ever had!) Normally I don't remember my dreams but I guess this one was just one of those strange dreams I actually did remember.
