Mom Visits NYC

My mom has come to visit NYC. She came here once a long time ago but only for a short visit. She didnt get to see much when she was here last time.

She is here for 10 days. Flew into JFK and her first experience was a cab ride to the UES (Upper East Side for Non New Yorkers). Cab drivers here are psychotic - all over the place, scaring the crap out of passengers. I told her not to look.

We went out for dinner for my birthday at Tony De Napoli. I love that place. It is family style Italian food. I love Chicken Francais.

We went to a bunch of places - touristy spots.. Statue of Liberty, The Met, Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian, Museum of Natural History, blah blah blah. It was fun.

Also did the Revlon Walk for Women's Cancers. Mom was cool because she got a survior shirt and hat.

Went to the Butterfly Conservatory at the Met. It was really cool to see all the butterflys in captivity.
