Bar 13 Birthday

The weekend was fun... Despite not having a compact camera anymore (miss you Jenn) and my unfortunate "camera incident" as I will call it...I do have some pictures to post thanks to my new pal Jessy having a camera on Friday.

For those of you who don't know about my camera fiasco: I decided to be cool and buy a small camera to carry with me instead of my big SLR that I lug around. I bought a cute little camera and proceeded to lose it in less than an hour. Yes, I am a complete idiot.

Anyway, back to the blog at hand. Went out after work to celebrate a birthday. Saw a Rod Stewart look alike, made a fool out of myself with wooden nickels (I hadn't even really had but one drink at that point), danced my white girl dance on the dance floor very attractively (not! - and how 80's was that comment), and got to know my coworkers better. C'est La Vie

PS, for any of my two readers that would like a more in depth "story" version of my summer (i.e. mom), see Jenn's blog on my links at the right - The Stellar Scoop. She is much more detailed than I...

Easy Like Sunday Morning

this crazy topless man with a potbelly was wandering up 73rd st with gigantic headphones, a bluetooth phone under one side of the headphones sticking out. he had his phone flipped open and was using it as if it were a gps or some type of homing device. then, right down the same street tina and i watched a woman in her late 40s change from shorts to a skirt in the middle of the street. never thought i would see this kind of stuff on the upper west side....

Back to the Farm

So, Jenn is leaving NYC to go back to Iowa. It has been wonderful having her here all summer and I am going to miss her when she is gone. To send her off properly, we had to have a party. We had it at Harry's Long Island City Water Taxi Beach. We played volleyball, drank margaritas, and laid out in the sun. We met a guy who invited us out to dinner way up on 113th & Broadway - a taqueria. We went and met some other new people - all the people at the table below. Met them about 20 minutes before the picture was taken. I love days like this.
