Why are men so stupid? Here I am, wondering why the hell the Umbrella guy hadn't called me. We went on a few dates and I had no idea. WELL, I found out. HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND??!! WTF
Not just a girl who he dates from time to time - which would make it ok. A real girlfriend. Back in Boston, where he is from.
This is how I found out. Apparently, I was walking by the drug store and she was in town with him. He had to DOGDE me. With her. To avoid a situation.
I am not even dating this guy seriously or anything but, come on! PLease. So then he calls me to tell me that he had to tell her that he was kind of dating someone here. Then proceeds to tell me about how he dodged me and that he hasn't called in the last couple weeks because he has been dating this girl for many months.
So, I decided to go out with him once more. But now I just can't get that out of my head. I can't see this guy anymore.
Dont get me wrong, if people want to date around that is completely fine. But dont lie to some girl who thinks that she is your girlfriend and the only one you are dating. Poor girl. I feel bad for her. What a schmuck he is.
And, for the record, just so you know. He told me that he doesn't like my perfume because it conflicts with his ability to taste wine properly. WHO SAYS THAT???

Wedding # 1

I was lucky enough to be asked to be in two weddings this year. My dear friend here in NY - Christine married Carl. The wedding was a ton of fun. The bride was smashingly beautiful. And the wedding was topped off with a nice dusting...eh em, blizzard, of snow. It was actually quite pretty.
I had asked off of work WAY in advance, knowing that she was getting married during the middle of tax season. I rushed out of the office on Friday, went home and packed, then caught a train to Long Island. I sucked at packing. What the hell was I thinking???? Apparently the long hours at work had taken their toll and my brain had been left at the office with the rest of my sanity. I packed the bridesmaid dress and shoes (thank god), toiletries, etc. No pajamas, no change of clothes, nothing. I was staying over night!! Twice. I wasn't coming home until Sunday. And, there was a blizzard. Almost got snowed in again, but some nice fellas (of which is a whole other story..very cute fellas that I met the night before and hung out with) gave me a ride to the train station. A few of them asked me for my number - and I gave it to them. In hindsight, this may not have been the best move, considering they were all friends. I am sure that they all figured out that each of them had my number.. Oh well!! It is best to play the odds probably with those who are not friends!
